Description
Although IC1318 shines mainly in the deep red of the Halpha light, it also emits other narrow lines. It is represented here using the false colours of the Hubble palette (SII as red, Halpha as green and OIII as blue). Star Sadr is on the left.
This is a first try with narrow-band filters of camera SXVR-H18 on a C11 configured in the hyperstar mode (F1.9). The system is quite compact to avoid increasing obstruction. The 2" filters are inserted in a clever little drawer provided by Pierro Astro. Total exposure: 6hours 10' in subs of 10' (10 in Halpha, 12 in OIII and 15 in SII)
Urban site, Sky quality factor: 19.5
