Description

Dhaka the capital of Bangladesh is overpopulated with two million inhabitants and almost half of the people commutes to all parts of the country during the Eid (religious festival) holidays. Although trains are an integral part in the lives of the common people, the operating routes are limited and it is difficult to get a seat. Most often, people will take to the roof for a dangerous journey, even more so during Eid. The 'hena' has not waned on the hands of this bride as she waits for her husband to come and board the already crowded special train. With the early morning light bathing train and casting a holy halo, I took this shot to document her plight and wonder if they would be able to board on this Eid special.
