Description

Sunset in the Badlands National Park, South Dakota.
This park is an amazing place! On-going rains, freezes and thaws have eroded the terrain, creating spectacular canyons, buttes, pinnacles, and spires. The park also contains the largest protected mixed grass-prairie in the United States – home for bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs, black-footed ferrets, antelopes and deer. As the sun went down below the horizon, coyotes started howling down in the valley below, adding to the eerie atmosphere of the place!
