When the wind blows

Description

My idea was to try and capture the movement of the grass on a reasonably windy day, the problem is the Fuji only goes up to f8 and even with a 4x neutral density filter and a polariser in place I couldn't get below 1/60th sec without blowing highlights.

  • "LOL...I am glad you know what you talking about with all those specs... However your photo came out beautiful nonetheless..Seen in my contacts photos. ?"

  • "I love this shot. I like the blurriness of the grass in the foreground, like the band of shadow also in the foreground that sets off the sunlit areas beyond, I like the classical solidness of the building and the contrast between that and the beautiful cedar of Lebanon? tree next to it. The sky is perfectly exposed with help form the neutral density filter you mentioned, no doubt, and the range of blues and greys and whites there adds a lovely drama to the shot. All in all to me the shot not only makes me feel as though Im there, but it makes me feel that being there is enough to make me go quotaahhhh...quot in an isntitgreattobealive sort of way. Apologies for being so gushing but I love this shot to bits"
  • "Thank you for the invite Imtootall but Im afraid I dont have the time I would like to add another group. Thanks Martin, Leo, hiker and Caitlin. Richard feel free to gush wherever you want to "
