Description

Piece #3 (if you put them in order) of my Ophelia series, featuring model Katie Johnson who has written an incredible/must-read essay on my blog as my first featured artist about fine art modeling. She also did an interview with me. Both of these can be found here.
I moved all weekend, just myself and my husband and the Uhaul. I had SO much fun driving the truck, it reminded me of driving my dads big white work van. But the moving wasn't as much fun. I really only count as half a person when it comes to doing any physical labor but I tried my best and as a result feel like I got run over by a train.
I loved shooting this image. Shooting half underwater and half above is challenging because the camera settings have to change. Difficult for the model as well because she has to stand perfectly still so that the images match up. My camera bag broke and I need a new one within the next week to finish this Ophelia project, blargh. When I get a new bag I'll be doing a video about how I shoot underwater, a bit about my process and you'll hear from Katie as well, most likely :)
Does anyone else have interesting stories from underwater photo adventures?
