Thank you all so much for all the comments. I'm sorry I have been terrible at replying - but puppying is a full-time job it seems ... That, plus classes and work ... All good. But I'm not being rude, that's what I wanted to say. Just busy. :-)

Porter is doing really well; he seems to have settled in nicely to his new home. He does chew a lot (mainly sticks) but he also gives huge puppy kisses and is the king of snuggling. Yay! And I miss him terribly every time I leave the house (I can't imagine how mothers ever leave their babies ... shudder).

He also looks much happier most of the time than he does in these photos ... But when he's happy he's generally moving far too fast for me to catch him on film/in jpg.

We're off to the vet tomorrow morning (so please keep your fingers crossed). In a few weeks I may finally have some kind of normal routine again, maybe even some free time occasionally ... and until then I promise as many pics and stuff as possible. :-)

PS ... Porter as in Black Butte Porter (awesome beer) - and his official AKC name is/will be Porter Number Three McElwee (Porter #3 in honour of our friend Wayne's best home-brew). So there you go! He was nearly Maverick (Mav/Mavi for short) but the masses voted against me. Damn them! But I like Porter too. :-)
